Two injured in crash on Bucoda Highway south of Tenino
Two teens were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a single-car crash on Bucoda Highway (Highway 507) just south of Tenino Friday afternoon.
The Washington State Patrol reports that a 1986 Toyota Celica was travelling south on Bucoda Highway around 1:20 p.m. when it drifted across the northbound lanes. It then went off of the highway and crashed into a number of trees before coming to a stop.
The driver, a 19-year-old man from Tenino, and his passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Woodland, were both seriously injured in the crash. They were airlifted to Harborview for treatment.
Troopers are still investigating why the car crossed the highway and crashed.
